PLEASE NOTE: Most of our regular Village events are continuing on Zoom due to the ongoing concerns related to COVID-19.  HOWEVER, we have a few events that are now meeting in person.  Those events are noted in this latest calendar.

Building the Metro Region via Zoom

We have been looking a lot at ‘how we got here’ as reflected in population, services, geography/geology, transportation, housing and the like, so this week we’ll take a brief look at various counties’ planning propositions to see what our neighbors are thinking might be on our social, educational, structural and related ‘horizons’ over the next couple of decades.

Lake Barcroft Village Quarterly Membership Meeting via Zoom

Join us for a conversation with Barbara Sullivan, Executive Director of the Village to Village Network, the nationwide organization comprised of all villages in the country.  The Village movement, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, began in Beacon Hill (Boston) and now there are almost 300 villages nationwide.  We will also have the Board of Directors election results to share.

“Enchanted April” –the winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New American Play in 2003 -- is described as a gentle and romantic comedy featuring two London housewives who pool their savings to rent a villa in Italy for a ladies-only holiday, reluctantly recruiting a pair of difficult upper-class women to share the cost and experience, all set in the backdrop of the era just after World War I.

At 6:00pm, join your fellow Village theater-goers for dinner at LaGranja de Oro; 2920 Annandale Road (right across the street from the theater).
